Lawrence Wayne “Law” Loving, III

Law is Director of Career & Workforce Readiness at the Niswonger Foundation, where he leads the CareerConnect program, which ensures students at high schools across the region have opportunities to explore careers and develop their soft skills.  He also oversees the Work Ethic Distinction initiative, active in high schools across Tennessee, and leads the Niswonger Foundation Educator Externship program, which provides teachers hands-on opportunities to explore employers in their communities.

In addition to these projects, Law works as part of the Niswonger Career Pathways team, developing innovative pathways in cutting edge fields like Biotechnology and AI & Data Science.  Previously, he led the workforce components of the Niswonger Foundation’s STEM.LD project, a federal research grant geared toward shifting STEM culture in Northeast Tennessee.

Prior to his time at the Niswonger Foundation, Law worked for Smarty Pants as a quantitative market researcher.  He also has experience teaching as an adjunct faculty member at East Tennessee State University.  He attended Tulane University for his bachelor’s degree in Public Health and Economics and earned an MBA at East Tennessee State University.  He is a doctoral candidate in Human Resource and Workforce Development at the University of Arkansas.

Originally from Johnson City, Law now lives in Greeneville with his wife, Megan, and three children, Wren, Evora, and Kerrigan.  He sits on the Board of Lancer Capital Group Foundation and the AZARK Foundation and is an elder at Greeneville Cumberland Presbyterian Church.  Law is an avid outdoorsman and loves traveling to national parks and foreign countries whenever the opportunity arises.

The Niswonger Foundation was established in 2001 to make a positive and sustainable difference in education in Northeast Tennessee. This dream was envisioned by Scott M. Niswonger, who founded Landair Transport, Inc. and Forward Air Corporation. These companies were the first two Greeneville-based companies to be taken public in the history of Greene County, Tennessee. Jointly, the companies have combined annual revenue of over one-billion-dollars and employ more than 5000 people.
