Katie Elizabeth Williams

A native of Stoney Creek (Elizabethton), Tennessee, Katie Williams graduated as valedictorian from Unaka High School. She earned a degree in public relations from the University of Tennessee and later completed a master’s degree in elementary education at Arizona State University through the Teach for America program.

Katie’s career reflects a strong commitment to people, education, and cross-cultural learning.  She has worked in education and technology roles with organizations including Google Education, the International School of Amsterdam, and IGS Energy.  Her professional journey has taken her across the United States, Europe, and Asia, where she has taught, led teams, and collaborated across diverse cultural environments.

Katie enjoys the creative aspect of her work in tech marketing-particularly digital initiatives such as brand refreshes, website redesigns, content strategy and building meaningful user engagement.  She is serving in a senior sales and marketing leadership role at BiznusSoft, a Salesforce-native HR software company.

    The Niswonger Foundation was established in 2001 to make a positive and sustainable difference in education in Northeast Tennessee. This dream was envisioned by Scott M. Niswonger, who founded Landair Transport, Inc. and Forward Air Corporation. These companies were the first two Greeneville-based companies to be taken public in the history of Greene County, Tennessee. Jointly, the companies have combined annual revenue of over one-billion-dollars and employ more than 5000 people.
