Erica Brooke Seal

Erica Seal is the daughter of Jennifer Greene and Shane Seal.  She graduated from Hancock County High School with Honors and Distinction.  Throughout her high school career, she received various awards for academic distinction.  She served as 4-H President and FFA Vice President. She was a member of various clubs such as FBLA, Spanish Club, and Fine Arts Club. She volunteered with Second Harvest Foodbank of Northeast Tennessee, and Operation Christmas Child as well as an AmeriCorps member, distributing meals to families in need.

Erica earned a degree in Rehabilitative Health Sciences with a minor in Public Health and Communicative Disorders from East Tennessee State University.  She is pursuing a master’s degree in public health leadership and policy at ETSU. She is working with the Tennessee Department of Health in the Foodborne and Enteric Diseases division as a foodborne illness surveillance team member on the FoodCORE team. Erica resides in Sevierville with her partner, Conner and their daughter, Josie.

    The Niswonger Foundation was established in 2001 to make a positive and sustainable difference in education in Northeast Tennessee. This dream was envisioned by Scott M. Niswonger, who founded Landair Transport, Inc. and Forward Air Corporation. These companies were the first two Greeneville-based companies to be taken public in the history of Greene County, Tennessee. Jointly, the companies have combined annual revenue of over one-billion-dollars and employ more than 5000 people.
