Elizabeth Jones Marquez

Elizabeth graduated magna cum laude with Departmental Honors from Clemson University with a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering.  While at Clemson, she received the “Excellence in Engineering” award for her undergraduate research and participated in an automotive engineering study abroad program in Esslingen, Germany.  She completed engineering internships with Dentsply Tulsa Dental Specialties and Miliken & Company.

In 2013, Elizabeth joined Eastman Chemical Company, in Kingsport, Tennessee, and currently serves as Maintenance Area Manager for the Acetate Fibers Division.  In this role, she leads a cross-functional industrial maintenance team, overseeing maintenance and reliability to ensure safe, reliable plant operations.

She is a licensed Professional Engineer, in Tennessee.  She volunteers with Meals on Wheels in Kingsport and mentors students through tnAchieves’ TN Promise scholarship program.  Elizabeth and her husband, Daniel, reside in Johnson City, Tennessee.

    The Niswonger Foundation was established in 2001 to make a positive and sustainable difference in education in Northeast Tennessee. This dream was envisioned by Scott M. Niswonger, who founded Landair Transport, Inc. and Forward Air Corporation. These companies were the first two Greeneville-based companies to be taken public in the history of Greene County, Tennessee. Jointly, the companies have combined annual revenue of over one-billion-dollars and employ more than 5000 people.
