Dr. Tracy Ballew

I have had the pleasure of teaching secondary ELA since 2001. For the last 13 years, I have enjoyed classroom teaching at Seymour High School, having been afforded the opportunity to serve as department chair, mentor, and eventually administration (for the last four years). I have two children: My son graduated from Seymour in 2019 and is now in college, and my daughter is beginning her junior year this August. My husband is also an administrator for the same county, and together we have furthered our education over the years, culminating in earning our doctorates in 2017. We believe that education is a mission field and are honored by the calling. I am looking forward to learning more about this new role and am excited about the program.

The Niswonger Foundation was established in 2001 to make a positive and sustainable difference in education in Northeast Tennessee. This dream was envisioned by Scott M. Niswonger, who founded Landair Transport, Inc. and Forward Air Corporation. These companies were the first two Greeneville-based companies to be taken public in the history of Greene County, Tennessee. Jointly, the companies have combined annual revenue of over one-billion-dollars and employ more than 5000 people.
