Chelsea Goodson Long

Chelsea is from Greeneville, Tennessee and a graduate of Greeneville High School. She is the daughter of Donna Goodson and the late Jerry Goodson. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Tennessee with a degree in finance.

During her time at UT, she served as the Student Government Association’s Business School Senator and Campus Beautification Director. She also held the role of comembership chair for the UT Dance Society and was inducted into the Mortar Board Honor Society. Chelsea volunteered through college with Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Tennessee. In addition, she completed over three years as an intern with the United States Secret Service.

Currently a stay-at-home parent, Chelsea dedicated 15 years to her work at Aldi, an international grocer, first as a District Manager and then as a Director of Purchasing and Administration. She’s an active volunteer in her daughter’s elementary school and a troop leader with Girl Scouts. She and her husband Derek live in Prairie Village, Kansas with their two children, Leighton and Lennox.

    The Niswonger Foundation was established in 2001 to make a positive and sustainable difference in education in Northeast Tennessee. This dream was envisioned by Scott M. Niswonger, who founded Landair Transport, Inc. and Forward Air Corporation. These companies were the first two Greeneville-based companies to be taken public in the history of Greene County, Tennessee. Jointly, the companies have combined annual revenue of over one-billion-dollars and employ more than 5000 people.
