Alexander James Croghan

Alex is a native of Greene County and a graduate of David Crockett High School. He is the son of Jerry and Laura Croghan of Limestone.

He graduated from Lipscomb University with a degree in biology. While at Lipscomb, he interned with the Department of Biology studying the protein TDP-2 in neurological development using a C.elegans model.

Alex works at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Mountain Home Tennessee as a Records Technician-Coder. He resides in Limestone.

    The Niswonger Foundation was established in 2001 to make a positive and sustainable difference in education in Northeast Tennessee. This dream was envisioned by Scott M. Niswonger, who founded Landair Transport, Inc. and Forward Air Corporation. These companies were the first two Greeneville-based companies to be taken public in the history of Greene County, Tennessee. Jointly, the companies have combined annual revenue of over one-billion-dollars and employ more than 5000 people.
