Zachary Tyler Ward

Zachary, son of Jamie Ward and Tonia Clark, graduated from Volunteer High School as Valedictorian. At Volunteer, he served as the President of Student Government Association, a member of Beta Club, Mu Alpha Theta, ETSU Talent Search, and Grassy Creek Youth Group. He volunteered in his community, accumulating over 150 hours of service.

He graduated from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville with a degree in Chemistry. He is pursuing his Master’s in Education from Walden University. He is a teacher at Science Hill High School in Johnson City, Tennessee, where he, his wife, Callie, and their daughter Carson reside.

The Niswonger Foundation was established in 2001 to make a positive and sustainable difference in education in Northeast Tennessee. This dream was envisioned by Scott M. Niswonger, who founded Landair Transport, Inc. and Forward Air Corporation. These companies were the first two Greeneville-based companies to be taken public in the history of Greene County, Tennessee. Jointly, the companies have combined annual revenue of over one-billion-dollars and employ more than 5000 people.
