Sarah Elizabeth Douthat

Sarah, daughter of Beth and the late Mark Douthat, graduated with honors from West Greene High School. Sarah continued her education at the University of Tennessee at Martin, where she graduated with a degree in Health and Human Performance Public Health.

Since graduating, Sarah has utilized her passion for serving others in a variety of roles. She is employed with WestCare TN, a local non-profit serving Cocke, Jefferson, Hamblen, and Greene Counties. She acts as Case Manager for the Standing Together Employment Program, which assists individuals struggling with serious mental illness and substance use disorders in obtaining and maintaining meaningful employment. Previously, Sarah worked as a Case Manager for the Office of Child Safety with the TN Department of Children’s Services, and she was a College and Career Advisor with the NiswongerCare program at the Niswonger Foundation.

The Niswonger Foundation was established in 2001 to make a positive and sustainable difference in education in Northeast Tennessee. This dream was envisioned by Scott M. Niswonger, who founded Landair Transport, Inc. and Forward Air Corporation. These companies were the first two Greeneville-based companies to be taken public in the history of Greene County, Tennessee. Jointly, the companies have combined annual revenue of over one-billion-dollars and employ more than 5000 people.
