Dr. Lillie Seal Taffer

Lillie is the daughter of Mark and Diane Seal.  She graduated with honors from Hancock County High School, in Sneedville, Tennessee, where she maintained a 4.0 GPA.

She graduated magna cum laude from Lincoln Memorial University with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies in Human Learning and Development.  At LMU, Lillie was elected as Student Body President.  She participated in a two-month study abroad program in France and Spain, studying religious diversity.  She earned her M. Ed. from Carson-Newman University and her Ed.D. from Capella University.

Dr. Taffer is currently teaching 10th and 11th grade English at Jefferson County High School and 11th and 12th grade English as an adjunct for the Jefferson County Virtual Academy.  At Jefferson County High School, she serves as a co-sponsor for the BETA Club and serves on the Honors Day Committee.  She attends church at Pathways Church in Sevierville, Tennessee.  She and her husband, Cody, reside in Dandridge, Tennessee.

    The Niswonger Foundation was established in 2001 to make a positive and sustainable difference in education in Northeast Tennessee. This dream was envisioned by Scott M. Niswonger, who founded Landair Transport, Inc. and Forward Air Corporation. These companies were the first two Greeneville-based companies to be taken public in the history of Greene County, Tennessee. Jointly, the companies have combined annual revenue of over one-billion-dollars and employ more than 5000 people.
