Jessica Lee Verran-Lingard

Jessica is Associate Principal Counsel at Lucasfilm, where she supports legal and business affairs matters for Industrial Light & Magic, Skywalker Sound, and Lucasfilm’s technology initiatives.  Prior to Lucasfilm, Jessica was an Associate at Gunderson Dettmer LLP, where she primarily focused on corporate partnering, strategic alliances, technology protection, licensing and commercialization of IP and technology assets for emerging companies within the entertainment and technology sector.  Prior to Gunderson, Jessica was an Associate at Jackson Walker LLP.

Jessica graduated from Stanford Law School (SLS) and the Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB) with a JD/MBA in 2015.  In 2010, she earned her B.A. with honors at Vanderbilt University, double majoring in Mathematics and Political Science.  While at Vanderbilt, she was a Chancellor’s Scholar and a member of Phi Beta Kappa Honors Society, and she spent her junior year at St. Catherine’s College, University of Oxford, as a Visiting Student.  A Tri-Cities native, Jessica graduated from Science Hill High School with a 4.0 GPA.

Jessica is deeply involved in the Stanford Alumni community.  She previously served as Co-President (and Founding Board Member) of the SLS Black Alumni Association, and as a member of the Board of Directors for both the GSB Alumni Association and the GSB Black Alumni Chapter.
