Jasmine Martin

Jasmine graduated from Morristown-Hamblen High School East, in Morristown, Tennessee. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a degree in Communication Studies.

While at UTK, she was a member of the Progressive Student Alliance (PSA), Students for Migrant Justice, and the CMST club.  She was inducted into the Lambda Pi Eta honors society for Communication Studies, where she served as Co-President her senior year.

Jasmine is as a Mentor to students attending Walters State Community College through the Niswonger Foundation’s NiswongerSTART Program, which she helped establish in 2024. She previously served as an Advisor in the NiswongerCARE Program.

    The Niswonger Foundation was established in 2001 to make a positive and sustainable difference in education in Northeast Tennessee. This dream was envisioned by Scott M. Niswonger, who founded Landair Transport, Inc. and Forward Air Corporation. These companies were the first two Greeneville-based companies to be taken public in the history of Greene County, Tennessee. Jointly, the companies have combined annual revenue of over one-billion-dollars and employ more than 5000 people.
