Christopher Morgan Brown

A native of Erwin, Chris graduated as valedictorian from Unicoi County High School. He is the son of Scott and Diane Brown. Chris earned his degree in English and secondary education from East Tennessee State University. He completed his master’s in educational leadership with Administrative License at Carson-Newman University.  He began his career in education as a teacher and coach in Unicoi County before relocating to Chattanooga.

Chris just completed his first year serving as Head Football Coach at Cleveland High School and Director of Football Operations for Kindergarten through Twelfth grade.  This comes after spending three years as Assistant Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator for the Baylor School.  Previously, he was Dean of Students and Head Football Coach at Red Bank High School and taught Honors 10 English there and at Ooltewah High School.  He and his wife, Joli are the proud parents of a daughter, Adelyn Rose. They reside in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

    The Niswonger Foundation was established in 2001 to make a positive and sustainable difference in education in Northeast Tennessee. This dream was envisioned by Scott M. Niswonger, who founded Landair Transport, Inc. and Forward Air Corporation. These companies were the first two Greeneville-based companies to be taken public in the history of Greene County, Tennessee. Jointly, the companies have combined annual revenue of over one-billion-dollars and employ more than 5000 people.
