Adam Joshua Miller

Adam is a native of Hampton, where he graduated as valedictorian from Hampton High School. He is the son of Sandra Wallace-Mercer and Joseph Miller. He graduated cum laude from Tusculum College with a degree in business administration.

Adam served as the chair of the constitution committee of the Student Government Association and was a resident advisor. He completed an internship with Mazer Corporation, in Johnson City.

He received his master’s in business administration from East Tennessee State University and works as a Software Developer/DERMS Administrator at BrightRidge of Johnson City. He was named one of the Tri-Cities Business Journal’s “40 Under Forty” for 2014. He completed the Johnson City Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership 2018-2019 Leadership 2020 program. Adam, his wife Jessica and daughter, Fiona reside in Hampton.

    The Niswonger Foundation was established in 2001 to make a positive and sustainable difference in education in Northeast Tennessee. This dream was envisioned by Scott M. Niswonger, who founded Landair Transport, Inc. and Forward Air Corporation. These companies were the first two Greeneville-based companies to be taken public in the history of Greene County, Tennessee. Jointly, the companies have combined annual revenue of over one-billion-dollars and employ more than 5000 people.
