Jessica Lee Verran-Lingard

Jessica graduated from Science Hill High School and attended Vanderbilt University, where she was a Chancellor’s Scholar and a member of Phi Beta Kappa Honors Society.  During her junior year at Vanderbilt, Jessica attended the University of Oxford, St. Catherine’s College, where she studied advanced calculus and international relations and conflict.  She graduated from Vanderbilt with honors, double majoring in mathematics and political science.

She graduated from Stanford Law School and the Stanford Graduate School of Business with a joint JD/MBA degree, where she focused on copyright law and the entertainment industry.  She gained work experience through summer associate positions at Bradley, Arant, Boult, Cummings, LLP, in Nashville, Tennessee and Weil, Gotshal & Manges, LLP in New York, where she was a Diversity Fellowship Award recipient.  She interned at INgrooves Music Group in San Francisco, California, in the Legal and Business Affairs Department.

Currently, Jessica is Associate Principal Counsel of Technology at Lucasfilm.  Prior to Lucasfilm, she was an Associate at Gunderson Dettmer, in the San Francisco Bay Area, where her primary focus was in corporate partnering, strategic alliances, technology protection, licensing and commercialization of IP and technology assets for emerging companies within the entertainment and technology sector.  Prior to Gunderson, she was an Associate at Jackson Walker, LLP, in Austin, Texas.
