Elizabeth Batson Tetrick

Elizabeth is from Greeneville, where she graduated from Greeneville High School. She is the daughter of Don and Lynn Batson. Elizabeth earned her English Degree from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. While at Emory, she assisted with the reestablishment of the Circle K Club, serving as its president. She worked with Volunteer Emory and as an SGA senator. She formed a special group committed to making Emory more environmentally conscious.

Elizabeth serves as the President-Elect for Holston Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors. She is past president and sustainer of the Junior League of Johnson City. She also has served as a member of the Rotary Club of Johnson City, where she was honored as a Paul Harris Fellow. She was named the 2018 National Resource Development Professional for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Elizabeth lives in Johnson City with her husband and two children.

The Niswonger Foundation was established in 2001 to make a positive and sustainable difference in education in Northeast Tennessee. This dream was envisioned by Scott M. Niswonger, who founded Landair Transport, Inc. and Forward Air Corporation. These companies were the first two Greeneville-based companies to be taken public in the history of Greene County, Tennessee. Jointly, the companies have combined annual revenue of over one-billion-dollars and employ more than 5000 people.
