Chelsea is from Greeneville, Tennessee and is a graduate of Greeneville High School. She is the daughter of Donna Goodson and the late Jerry Goodson. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Tennessee with a degree in finance.
While at UT, she was the Student Government Association’s business school senator and it’s campus beautification director. the campus beautification director. She also served as co-membership chair of the UT dance society and was inducted into Mortar Board honor society. She completed over three years as an intern with the United States Secret Service.
Chelsea began her career as a District Manager with Aldi, Inc., a leading company in the international grocery retailing industry. She now serves as the Director of Purchasing and Administration in their Olathe, KS Division. She and her husband Derek reside in Prairie Village, Kansas. They have two children, Leighton Ann and Lennox.
The Niswonger Foundation was established in 2001 to make a positive and sustainable difference in education in Northeast Tennessee. This dream was envisioned by Scott M. Niswonger, who founded Landair Transport, Inc. and Forward Air Corporation. These companies were the first two Greeneville-based companies to be taken public in the history of Greene County, Tennessee. Jointly, the companies have combined annual revenue of over one-billion-dollars and employ more than 5000 people.
