Alexis Renee Harvey

Alexis is a graduate of Unicoi County High School and the daughter of Crystal Winston. During her time at UCHS she served as president and section leader of the marching band, senior class secretary and homeroom representative for Student Council. She served as a member of National Honor Society, Beta Club, Book Club, Spanish Club, Student’s Against Destructive Decisions (SADD), secretary for the Christian Student Union and as the Chick-Fil-A Leader Academy secretary. She is a Track and Field athlete. Her awards include, Chemistry II Award and the Marching Band’s Most Excellent Junior Award.

Alexis is attending Tennessee Technological University and majoring in Engineering. She was awarded the Spectrum Award for excellence in Electrical Engineering. She was elected as Executive Secretary for the Student Government Association and as president for the Society of Women Engineers. She serves as student representative on the Academic Misconduct Committee; the Task Force for Academic Affairs and University Curriculum Committee, and as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant. She was invited to Tau Beta Pi, the most prestigious engineering society. She is a member of Phi Kappa Phi. She works as an electrical engineer intern with Nuclear Fuel Services.

    The Niswonger Foundation was established in 2001 to make a positive and sustainable difference in education in Northeast Tennessee. This dream was envisioned by Scott M. Niswonger, who founded Landair Transport, Inc. and Forward Air Corporation. These companies were the first two Greeneville-based companies to be taken public in the history of Greene County, Tennessee. Jointly, the companies have combined annual revenue of over one-billion-dollars and employ more than 5000 people.
