Sarah Douthat

Sarah, a native of Mohawk, graduated from West Greene High School in 2018. She earned her B.S. in Health and Human Performance with a concentration in Public Health from the University of Tennessee at Martin as a Niswonger Scholar. During her time at UT Martin, she was a member of Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society, was named to the Chancellor’s Corner Honor Roll with highest honors, and served her community through the Baptist Collegiate Ministry, where she mentored young girls. Sarah’s serves students at Cocke County High School, South Greene High School, Clinch School, and Hancock County High School as a NiswongerCARE Advisor.

    The Niswonger Foundation was established in 2001 to make a positive and sustainable difference in education in Northeast Tennessee. This dream was envisioned by Scott M. Niswonger, who founded Landair Transport, Inc. and Forward Air Corporation. These companies were the first two Greeneville-based companies to be taken public in the history of Greene County, Tennessee. Jointly, the companies have combined annual revenue of over one-billion-dollars and employ more than 5000 people.
