Jarad Turpen

Jarad Turpen is originally from Eureka, Illinois. Jarad was active in sports during his high school career, which led to a scholarship in men’s track at Milligan University. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Pre-Professional Psychology at Milligan. He served as president of the local Psi Chi Chapter at Milligan and earned the honor of presenting research on Islamophobia at the National Conference on Undergraduate Research. He is pursuing a Master of Science in Counseling at Milligan University. Jarad has accepted a position with the NiswongerCare Program as a NiswongerCare Advisor, and he will be serving students at Chuckey-Doak High School.

    The Niswonger Foundation was established in 2001 to make a positive and sustainable difference in education in Northeast Tennessee. This dream was envisioned by Scott M. Niswonger, who founded Landair Transport, Inc. and Forward Air Corporation. These companies were the first two Greeneville-based companies to be taken public in the history of Greene County, Tennessee. Jointly, the companies have combined annual revenue of over one-billion-dollars and employ more than 5000 people.
