Lorraine Faith Hayes

Lorraine, daughter of Eloine and Keith Hayes, graduated from Cloudland High School with honors and distinction. She served as Youth Leadership Delegate, Varsity Cheerleading Captain, Senior Class President, Bible History Club President, and Relay for Life Club President. Her awards include, Highest ACT Score Award, Principal’s Pride Award and UCA All-American Cheerleader. She has completed volunteer hours through Salvation Army, MARSH blood drives, Johnson City Medical Center, Operation Christmas Child Processing Center and multiple mission trips with her church.

Lorraine is a graduate of Wake Forest University with a pre-law degree. She was a peer leader within the WFU Conduct System, and in Students to Students, a campus ministry. She was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority and the Diversity and Inclusion Taskforce for the Panhellenic Council. She was elected vice president of the Wake Forest Chapter of Habitat for Humanity.  She was accepted into the Mortar Board Honors Society and served as president. She served as an Intercultural Ambassador at WFU.  Lorraine was accepted to Boston College Law School, which she will begin in the fall of 2022.  She accepted a position as a Paralegal at Arnold and Porter Kay Scholer, in their New York City Office.

    The Niswonger Foundation was established in 2001 to make a positive and sustainable difference in education in Northeast Tennessee. This dream was envisioned by Scott M. Niswonger, who founded Landair Transport, Inc. and Forward Air Corporation. These companies were the first two Greeneville-based companies to be taken public in the history of Greene County, Tennessee. Jointly, the companies have combined annual revenue of over one-billion-dollars and employ more than 5000 people.
